Merge tickets "hide" tickets

What terms did you try when SEARCHING for a solution: "merge", "look", "see"

I merged two messages. After this, one of it disappear and I can't see it anywhere. I would look for it as information in general (major) ticket. Where I may found merged tickets (messages or persons, etc).

If it is intended effect, how to find all related tickets (for example persons)?

That is exactly what merging tickets does - all messages are merged into one ticket and other tickets get deleted.

Will the person from merged (deleted) tickets received messages about this case where it is open?

No notifications are sent, but if he/she tries to open an old ticket (with the old tracking ID) the merged ticket will show.
