What terms did you try when SEARCHING for a solution: add time notes

just how the time gets added when adding a responce is it possible to add that time when adding a note.

for example someone submites a ticket saying emails are not working.
i would send a responce that i want them to respond to - they get an email saying message has been added
but then i want to just add notes like "i have checked this and that" but then add that time spent to the ticket

Not automatically, but you can click on "Time worked" in Ticket details column when viewing a ticket and manually adjust the time.
