Search Guest Book

I'm sorry if this has already been asked but has anyone made a search function for the guest book or can lead me to a script that will search the database for keywords? I'd like my users to be able to search the guest book

There's no such function/modification that I know off.

Honestly, you will most likely be best off using a service like https://cse.google.com/cse/ to get the easiest search functionality.

Thanks. I appreciate the link but I want to just add a search function to the script or get another script that will search the database for keywords. For some reason I can't seem to find any basic scripts out there that will just search a flat file db and return the results. It should be simple but I can't find anything

I might be able to hack my way through it but my coding isn't the best

I do want to say thanks for the script. I'm not really using it as a guestbook but rather a genealogy query system. I made some mods to make it work with my sites appearance. This is kinda why I wanted to be able to search
