ATTACHMENT ERROR

Post by bigdog1025 »

I am trying to attach a 1-page, 324Kb, .png document in a support response to one of my site's subscribers. I am getting the following Error message:

"Error:
Cannot move file to the attachments folder"

Please help me troubleshoot this as I can find nothing related in the Forum or Knowledgebase.

This usually means PHP cannot write to your attachments folder.

Try enabling Debug mode (Admin panel > Settings > Help desk tab > Debug mode: ON) and see if you get any different error messages/warnings displayed when trying to submit the attachment.

Thank you for your response, Klemen.

In the Settings, I see two brightly colored messages that call for attention:

Under Attachments > Use attachments: "Disabled because your attachments directory is not writable by the script."

and at the bottom, next to the "Save changes" button it says "disabled" and "Unable to save your settings because hesk_settings.inc.php file is not writable by the script."

Please advise. Thank you.

Hi Klemen,

I figured out that the permissions were misconfigured and have repaired it. Please disregard. Thank you!
