What terms did you try when SEARCHING for a solution: SELECT

Hi,
New to Help Desk and loving it so far. Have to make a lot of mods because not really using as a help desk but more as work flow with customer starting by requesting an RMA, we respond, they send us a broken thing, we fix it and return it. Help Desk will very likely get the job done and it and is written in php I still understand (not OOP).
So, the bug:
I had created several custom fields and when I changed one from a Select box to a Text Area the options still displayed in the text box as a long string. I found them in Subject file and removed them, but I would think the code that writes the file would remove the contents of the value field. Maybe too much to ask ??

Thanks for reporting this, will look into it and see if it can be fixed in the next release cycle.

As a temporary work-around you can:

1. when changing type click "Options" then "OK"

- or -

2. disable the field, save settings then enable it again
