not receiving email

I have used this script in other websites, but my new one will not
send me an email when a new message is posted. I have checked and double checked and everything seems to be in order, proper
email address. yes, the box is marked to 1, for yes, send me
a notificaiton. Is this because I have a brand new website? What could
be going on?

This must be a problem with the PHP or e-mail software setup on your server. MBoard uses the standard PHP mail() command for sending out all mail. You might want to contact your hostng company and ask why doesn't the PHP mail() command work (properly).
