is it possible to make a mobile theme for Hesk?

You would have to completely change most of HESK code to achieve that.

The good news is the new user interface (HESK 3.x) is going to be modern and much more mobile friendly. I plan to release 3.x somewhere in the second half of 2014.

The HESK UI modification on the forums at viewtopic.php?f=14&t=4905 uses a responsive theme, so it should look good on any screen size/resolution.

Any news or updates on 3.x? Looking forward to mobile support - would love to help test it out.

Bad news yes, good news no

I was working with a company on the new theme and was not satisfied with them, so I am now in the process of selecting a new designer for the job.

I will however release 2.6.0 with some nice new features though instead of 3.0 by the end of 2014.

I guess NuMODS is the only way to go for a Mobile-Friendly Hesk?

Yes, NuMODS is an unofficial and mobile friendly mod.
