sign-form.php reformatted - by itself

Post by cAdams »

After scrolling through 8 pages to find an answer and coming up with 5 different posts on a similar issue, i'm finding everything else but my exact issue.

Overnight, my sign-form has reformatted itself to look like this

Before then, it looked like this - with the exception of the header other obvious site specifics between the two

I've even ftp'ed via Yummy FTP the original GBook files with no modifications whatsoever AND the correctly formatted cma fotography sign_form.php file, but for technological reasons beyond me, the sign-form on cityability.co.nz still displays itself in it's badly formatted state as now - even though city ability's sign-form has minor differences i.e. language.

For the life of me, i just can't see where the sign_form.php file code is making the input boxes look so 'slim' :? Or is the coding wrong in the style.css???

Help!

The code doesn't just overwrite itself   You probably had some old style cached in browser and yesterday an updated style file loaded in the browser.

I'm afraid I can't help with formatting problems, but you should triple-check all files as it's 100% a problem either in your HTML or CSS code.

i have tripled checked the style & sign form 100% Klemen

i've also looked at the comments, settings and language files i'm so much as my wits end trying to see where it differs from the other style and sign forms but like i said, i just can't see where the drastic differences are

even if knew exactly where and what files to edit so the sign_from looks like what is should like instead of having to scroll throu' another 8 pages would help, not to mention save me lost sleep

You can reset it to the original look by uploading a fresh copy of the original "templates" GBook folder to the server. To make the form fit your design is not something I can help with I'm afraid.

the sign form had no special design as such Klemen, i just wanted the sign form's box back to the original width

however i've since uploaded all necessary original templates, modified the sign form and it's back to the same width as the guestbooks on two of my other sites :)
