Report- Exporting to Excel

Post by huogas »

Sorry if I missed something (I saw something similar asked 1 year ago, but no follow-up).

The reporting features are quite limited. In order to help on that matter, would it be complex to export the tickets data to a flat file in such a way that we can import the data in Excel and then produce the reports ?

In fact, I just saw that it is quite easy to do it using phpMyAdmin , the only "problem" being the presence of pointer instead of value for category and persons.

For my information, is it something you plan to do ?

What kind of data should be exported? You mean like a list of tickets (within a timeframe and with all the essential data) in a CSV or XLS file?

Yes I was referring to tickets with all its informations, and yes having a filter about the timeframe would be a plus.

Having the data in Excel would make possible to do about any reports until you come with maybe something more elaborate.
