I followed the upgrade to the letter. Upon looking at my site upgrading to version 2.2 destroyed our entire support site.
All our tickets are gone, all our customization erased, and there's no downgrading to back to 2.1.
I lost everything thanks to this 2.2 upgrade!

You followed the update to the letter? Quoting the very first step in the readme.html file:
BACKUP YOUR EXISTING HESK DATABASE AND FILES! Don't skip this step! Really, don't!
Right there, on top, in bold red letters. Now just simply delete Hesk 2.2 files and database and restore the backup you made. All is back to how it was.
After you do this come back and we'll talk further on what you did and what might have happened.
