Database password length

The designer working on our website said that he can't use a password for the Hesk database that is as large as he normally does with everything else he works on, which is eight to ten characters in length. Is there a way that something can be modified so that an 8-10 character password can be used?

The MySQL password is set in your MySQL configuration and not in the HESK and the script has nothing to do with password lengths. If you can't set a password of a certain length than this is a database issue and not something I can help you with.
