Moving gbook to another site without losing existing entries

Post by rvanveen »

Is there somewhere an instruction available how to move an existing gbook (and its existing entries) to a new site (at the same provider)?

You can transer the GBook like this:

1. install a new (clean version) copy of GBook on your new site
2. copy these files from your EXISTING GBook (copy the files from the server) to the new one:
- banned_ip.txt
- entries.txt
- footer.txt
- header.txt
- style.css
3. your new GBook should have all the old entries and any changes you made to the style/header/footer preserved.
