Internet Explorer cannot display page

Post by jhaider »

Script URL:http://www.captainronsblog.com/gbook/gbook.php
Version of script:1.6
Hosting company:my own server
URL of phpinfo.php:http://www.captainronsblog.com/gbook/phpinfo.php
URL of session_test.php:http://www.captainronsblog.com/gbook/session_test.php
What terms did you try when SEARCHING for a solution: connection, display

Write your message below:
I have your script on two different websites, both of which are run from my own server running Windows. One is working and one is not. The above mentioned is not working. It was working fine until yesterday, and now when I try and access it, it briefly shows up in IE 7, then quickly goes to a "page cannot be displayed" page. Doesn't sound like a problem with your script, but then why would the other websites script work and this one doesn't? Any ideas or help would be appreciated. I couldn't find any other post about this, but sorry if there is one. The url of the other website that is working is: http://www.brittkevwedding.com/guestbook/gbook.php

Hello jhaider,

Both GBooks are working for me in IE7.0 . No idea what can be wrong on your side.

The difference i have noticed is that the working GBook (for you) is version 1.5 and the one not working (for you) is version 1.6.

But like i said, both are working here.

Greetings,
Henrie

It must be a problem on the server-side settings because it doesn't show the phpinfo file as well (shows for a second then hides):

No idea what it could be though, seems like the server cuts connection after sending a certain amount of data. This is something you will need to check with your host.

Browser Problem?

Post by jhaider »

Could this be a browser problem? I tried it in google chrome, and both gbooks worked. In IE 7, one works and one doesn't, both are on the same server. Thank you for your help.

I get the same problem with Chrome or FireFox sometimes - seems like your server just cuts off data transfer after a while.
