lowering msg limit

Post by icepack »

hi,
i have the msg limit currently set on 120, and thus i now have 120 msg displayed. so far so good. the thing is, if i lower the max msg down to say, 100, will mboard automatically remove the msg so that only the lastest 100 are showing? or will i end up crashing my mboard?
thanks

It won't crash MBoard, but you will have to remove the excess 20 messages by hand.

Whatever you do it's always a good idea to backup your existing files first before making any changes.

You can simply use the red X button to delete the extra posts. This will make sure they are deleted properly without having to mess with the threads.txt file.
