There is no control panel, you can edit settings inside the settings.php file and delete messages by clicking the red (X) icon when looking in a post.

Actually, this is a legitimate question. May I quote from the README file?

"$settings['apass']-------This will be your password for the admin panel. Change it from the default password admin. Use only letters a-Z, A-Z and numbers 0-9"

It was NOT a silly question.

I never said it was a silly question and yes, that is a typo in the Readme there because I copied settings from some other script readme file (probably CCount or LinkMan)

Nope. Just adjust your settings in the settings.php file. It's pretty straight forward. The README file is very helpful so read it thoroughly. Just follow all the instructions carefully and it will work for you. At least, it should.

This is a good simple script. I'd like to thank the creators of this. I found it easy to modify to my specs with the css file and so far so good.

My only complaint is the non-support for images. I look forward to the next release as I hear tale that the next version will allow for image formatting. So when is it coming out?!

I just found out that the password is only for deleting messages off the board.

I like this simple script too. I do not need any additional addons. perfect for what I am looking for.

I deleted the msg folder by accident and found out that is a big mistake, you have to clean out the threads txt to clear the board.

So you answered my next question: So what is the password for?

Thanks for letting me know about the threads.txt file. I'll keep that in mind.

Yep, no control panel. When I was writing MBoard I had one thing in mind - simplicity. There are XYZ other forums on the net for free, what was missing was a very simple message board for small and not-busy websites. It also had to be very light on resources (hence storing all posts in plain HTML and not using any databases) so it wouldn't have any problems at all with shared hosts and their "excessive resources usage" policies.

Images will be included in the next release. I always hate giving out dates of future releases (Hesk users know that  ), but hopefully in February.

Probably just images and some minor tweaks.
