What do you think? Is this regular spam? Is someone annoying family member targeting me? Any way I can prevent further annoying posts? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks all!

Hi,

Please try posting into the appropriate forum (moved to GBook forum now  ).

I don't think it's a "family member", looks like some random text spam and I've seen similar before. Probably some program/script trying to spam/abuse your guestbook.

What to do:
1. make sure you have $settings['autosubmit'] set to 1 or 2 in settings.php. Preferably 1, much more secure, but you need to have GD library installed on the server. Check inside your readme.htm file under "The security number image/text doesn't work (show up)?" for troubleshooting.

2. find out the IP of whoever it's doing it (click the IP link in the lower right corner of the post) and ban that IP from your server:
