sending an email to Hesk

Post by vexal »

Is there any way that clients can send support requests via e-mail? I have used several other support apps in the past that allowed this.

many thanks - and thanks for a great app!!

Unfortunately not, "email piping" for Hesk is still in development and testing stages.

Any idea as to when this might be coming along?

I've been really impressed byt he demo of Hesk and was about to download and install. But then saw this which is a deal breaker for me :-(

But I could be persuaded to hold on if it's close

I actually sent an e-mail to support yesterday asking if this feature was available before I found this forum. I hope this feature is coming soon... I was thinking today how I could write something myself but I have to figure out how to get the e-mail into the script. Since my e-mail is remotly hosted from the web server I think I would have to get a seperate domain so I can forward the support e-mail to the web server and then phrase it from the web server. I did find a script today to get just that part accomplished so I think I could put something together. I'll play around and see what I come up with. :)
