I have changed the mode of banned_websites.txt , linkinfo.txt , settings.php
to (666) , still i get error msg Couldn't open links file for appending! Please CHMOD all txt files to 666 (rw-rw-rw)!

Please can u help???? I have tried everything i knew but no help....

My hosting is a windows-host but my acount has php installed in it so i think that is not THE problem!

Hi,

Windows doesn't use the "CHMOD" command. If your account comes with a "cgi" or "cgi-bin" folder try installing Linkman inside there (as thiese folders usually come with correct permissions on Windows servers).

If not you can either try this (it's for Hesk script but should work the same for Linkman, just different file names):
viewtopic.php?t=1406

You will need to contact your host and ask them to set permissions for PHP scripts to write to these files.
