Hi the error message appears on the page when I tried to add a link to the click counter. I've uploaded the phpinfo.php and session_test.php onto my server and I;m still not sure what causes this problem. It would be a great help if anyone can solve the problem for me.

Your PHP sessions aren't working, contact your host and ask them to fix PHP sessions.

Ok, I checked with my host and they directed me to the PHP scripting page, but didn't know exactly what setting to change. Any suggestions on what to look for? I can send the full PHP file, if that's helpful.

You have a too old version of PHP on your server (and I mean a very old one, probably 5 or more years), ask your host to upgrade PHP to a more recent version (4.4.x or PHP 5). They should do it for free as having such an old version is not secure.
