CCount suggestion

Post by mismas »

Script URL:
Version of script:1.2
Hosting company:hostmonster
URL of phpinfo.php: dunno
URL of session_test.php:dunno
What terms did you try when SEARCHING for a solution:.......

Write your message below:

love this script. very simple to set up and to work with. HOWEVER, as i dont have many links yet. people can just guess (or fill in an ID) and thus download a file that i might not want to be downloaded yet. is there a way around this? would be good if we could choose the ID ourselves rather than have it start from 1,2,3,4 etc

cheers,

mis.

As a temporary solution you can try this:

1. Download a BACKUP of your data in case something goes wrong (you can do so from CCount admin)
2. edit your clicks.txt file - find the line with the URL you are trying to hide. The very first number in that line (before %%) is the ID, change it to a high number (like 12345).
3. save changes and upload the modified clicks file to your server.
