keep old posts

Post by icepack »

hi,
i have set keep old posts to OFF, but i think the old posts are not getting deleted. currently i have max number of msg limited to 120. after this number posts are made, but the link to that thread does not appear on the /mboard.php page. also, when i reply to old posts, again no link to the reply is available through /mboard.php.
please help! thanks

Based on what we talked about in previous posts I can't provide support for this as your MBoard is way too much modified for me to know what is wrong and why. If you can't figure out what's wrong try the original code for counting IDs.

i'm using the original mboard on another site, and noticed that the old msg are not automatically deleted even when the seeting is zero. do you know when the next mboard is likely to be released as it might save my time just installing a completely new one instead.

As you already know from my reply to your other topic I hope it will be out in February, but I can't give any exact dates or guarantees.

alright thanks Klemen, i'll wait on it then :D
with regard to the unmodded script i run on another site i've noticed the old posts were still available even though i have keep old posts set to 0. currently count is 308 and i have set max number of msg limit to 100, so on threads.txt files 208-308 is displayed which is no probs. but then when i change the number in the address field to any of the old posts the meant-to-be-deleted ad shows.
please help! thanks!
