Failing to display click results on pages

Post by puniksem »

Version of script: 1.2
(I searched this forum and found no related results)

:( please help?

Thank you for replying so promptly, Yes I did update all files that were suggested in your upgrade guide, and set 777 properties to the appropriate files, like I said before the v1.2 script was working for a couple of days, and only seem to stop functioning today.
I will andevour to establish if my hosts have revised any protocols, they seem to do that frequently.

Because I rely on the counters so heavily, I have replaced v1.2 with v1.1 again.

I will however attempt to load the v1.2 counter script to my other domain and see if I get better results there.

Thanks for you time and suggestion thus far. I will report my findings after trying again... (about an hour)
---------------------
Test results: I have successfully installed v1.2 into my other domain and have v1.2 now running properly on both sites.

If I loaded a my old backup clicks.txt file all would be ok and every counter is displayed, however if I tried to reload the backed up newer clicks.txt file thats when the errors occour. yet there appears to be no difference in the files. STRANGE!

I have managed to get the script working now and I'm happy to lose a couple of click counts, however after examining the clicks text file I fail to see why it would not accept the newer file.

Thanks once again Klemen Stirn, your work and scripts are very appreciated, I have placed a 'recommended' link to your site on my site.

At some point soon, I will endevour to purchase a license from you for both the clicks script and the HESK script too, which by the way is another very fine piece of work on your part. (well enough of the butt kissin') cheers!

Hi,

Did you upload the new display.php file when upgrading from version 1.1?

If yes post a link to your CCount and the page you are trying to show number of clicks on.
