Question about threads.txt and html files

Post by primster7 »

Hello - I'm using Version:1.22 and love it.

I have thousands of posts and I know that I should move to a regular forum, but I need something simple and I don't have any categories. I have installed a mysql type of forum phpbb and mybb and nobody was posting in it.

Anyway here is my problem. Some of my html do not show up when clicking the link. I have it set so that I can have 25,000 posts. I the parts of the thread file with the missing .html files. I re-uploaded the threads.txt and for some reason the links are still there. I cleared my cache, cookies etc. and even restarted my brower but they are still there. Here is the really wierd thing. When I post a message it will show in my browser like 4586.html, but when I pull the threads text off the server, it's doesn't even go up that high. Also when I look on my server it shows that the 4586 html file isn't there, but I can bring it up and read it. My ftp shows that the html files stop around 2000.html. I'm not sure where the new .html files are going and what exactly is happening here.

If anyone has any thoughts, please reply to this message.

Thanks!

25,000 posts is a big number, too big for a simple one-page message board in my opinion.

Not really sure what your problem is and since you didn't post your URL I can't even check for myself. Post this info:

Script URL:
Version of script:
Hosting company:
URL of phpinfo.php:
URL of session_test.php:
