You have a different IP for IE and FF??? In that case yes, you are probably using some kind of proxy in IE.

Open IE and go to Tools > Internet Options > Connections and click the "LAN settings" button. Have you got any settings there (anything at all) or is it all empty (not even any of the checkboxes is checked)? If anything is checked or any info entered there, can you make a screenshot of it and post it here?

In my LAN settings under 'Automatic configuration', the checkbox is checked for 'Automatically detect settings'.

Nothing else is checked.

Try unchecking that, reboot your PC and see if it makes any difference.

OK, I have unchecked that and my IP address has now changed to be the same as when using Firefox AND I can now post to the test mboard from IE.

Thank you for you help with this Klemen!

Just as a matter of interest, why would using the other IP address/proxy upset mboard so much?

Proxies add a lot to the JunkMark score because from the research I did many of the spambots run behind some kind of proxies or try to mask their IP address.
