Hi, I have implemented the code to hide email address in the gbook.php and it works perfectly, thank you, but to add further to this, I was wondering how hard would it be to have a tick box in the sign form to enable their email address (same as before the new code was added) because there are some occasions when a guests may want to be emailed by anyone who reads the post, I do appreciate that they could put their email address in the comments box but I feel that’s a bit tacky, it may be quite involved but would be a nice extension to the modification.
Hope this is the correct place to post this suggestion, apologies in advance if I have done wrong

Well that wouldn't be too hard to add for someone with PHP knowledge, but I don't think I will ever add it as it could lead to privacy issues - you (indirectly) share your visitor's e-mail address with anyone who reads your GBook and anyone could e-mail anyone who signed your guestbook. A lot of anyone's here

Hi Klemen, I think you misunderstand what I require, as the guestbook is, another words before any modifications, someone signs the guestbook their email address can bee seen OK, with the upgrade / modification, you have the choice to hide all email address from public view, which I have done, BUT if someone signing the guestbook WANTS their email address visible to everyone by ticking a box WHEN SIGNING THE BOOK, (all other email address are hidden if not ticked) hidden email address are viewable only by the guestbook owner, hope that cleared up the misunderstanding, sorry if I explained myself badly

Ah, I understand now. I just might add that to the next version (and the hide mail by default).

Hi Klemen that would be fabulous if you did, it’s a smashing book by the way, so much so I did purchase it about a month ago, I was so pleased with it I was compelled too.

Would be really fantastic if this feature could still be considered at some point.

I see I'm not the only one wanting this feature viewtopic.php?t=1050&highlight=address+ ... 467042ef05
Would still love the tick box, the feature would go someway to encourage people to leave valid email address, and also yesterday someone asked on my guestbook for help, and he did not have the opportunity to show his email address this is my main reason for wanting the tick box, but if it is not practical then I totally understand, still a knockout guestbook.
