I know this thread has gone more than a year without any activity, but I think this might be the type of add-on i'm looking for. I was wondering if anyone that had this add-on working could post a link to a demo or maybe even a screenshot so I can confirm that this is exactly what i'm looking for?

I had installed the image mod on several sites because it had initially worked fine. After seeing problem pop up and not finding an answer for them, I switched back to the text version. That works well for setting up multiple categories too, by copying all the files into separate folders and updating the settings file, then linking to each category in the header.

For the image option, I now use Aardvark Topsites because it also has tracking for incoming and outgoing links, is template based and allows unlimited dynamic categories. It is also free.

One thing Aardvark does not do though that I find very useful in LinkMan, is check to make sure the return links are on the websites. To monitor that, I watch the stats to see who has not had any hits for a while and visit their site. If the link is gone I remove them from the list.

You can see my active list at Global WorkStation TopSites

Hope that helps

I seem to be having a problem with this script add-on. The banners appear in the admin page, but the links.php wont show them at all. I thought I saw a link to a new links.php but that site didnt seem to have it. I downloaded the LinkMan.102a.zip but it doesnt have the links.php. Is there any way to get the updated copy of the links.php for the linkman102a so that it will show the images?? The images show up on the index.php page, just not on the links.php page.

Thanks in advance

102a Mod with ver 107

Post by missouribands »

First off thanks for the script - it is nearly perfect for what I need. Mod 102a looks and reads as if it would make it the perfect script.

Will this mod work with ver 107 of LinkMan?

TIA

Kevin
