I keep getting
Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_DEC in /home/www/chrisx.madpage.com/mboard/threads.txt on line 1
when i add a successful message to the mboard. I have tried to find the problem in the coding but no luck.

T_DEC is the decrement operator and there is no reason it should be mentioned in threads.txt file?

Have you been editing any of the files? If YES try with the original ones, if NO post a working URL of your script and URL of the phpinfo file!
