Post by cesser »

Script URL: http://distancelearning.pupbrothers.com/linkman/
Version of script:1.03
Hosting company:http://powweb.com
URL of phpinfo.php: http://distancelearning.pupbrothers.com ... hpinfo.php
URL of session_test.php: http://distancelearning.pupbrothers.com ... n_test.php
What terms did you try when SEARCHING for a solution: "you are not authorized to view this page" - also perused the entire 3 pages of subjects of the linkman forum

Write your message below:
Hi. Just installed the script on my server. Used ascii for all non-image files, binary for images. Permissions on linkinfo.txt set to 666. Am able to log into the admin panel just fine. Tells me i don't have any links yet. I try to manually add a link through the admin panel, filling out all fields and entering http://nolink for reciprocal, but when I click "Add this link", a page with "Admin Panel" as the header appears, telling me that an error occured: You are not authorized to view this page.

Any ideas? I searched the junkyard forums and Google and found nothing relating to this. I appreciate any help and thank you very much in advance.

You are having problems with PHP sessions in general, ask your host to check the php sessions.

If you have root access to the server check if folder /var/php_sessions exists and is writable or try changing it to /tmp in php.ini file

Thanks for the heads up Klemen. I contacted my web hoster and they fixed the save path in the php.ini file and everything seems to be working now.

Thanks again, and looking forward to getting your script running!
