Call up 2 separate linkinfo.txt files, is it possible?

Post by jswilko »

Version of script: 1.03

Hi all

What I would like to do is have the script call up 2 separate linkinfo.txt files.

The reason I want this is so I can store a linkinfo.txt file on my main site server and have a number of sites that I have designed and hosted call it up. This is so I can easily cross link all the sites, when I have a new site that wants adding to the list all I have to do is add it to the text file and it will be displayed on all the sites.

I then want each site to still be able to call up its own linkinfo.txt file as it currently does so when a new link is added to that sites link program it will appear on that site only.

I would like the script to call the centrally stored txt file first then the local.

I have tested the theory of storing the linkinfo.txt on the main server and I've had two separate sites with linkman installed call it up to display the links.

Would be a big help if somebody could help point me in the right direction on this one.

Thanks
John

PS I Think the script is great, I paid $99 for a different program last year and I have now scrapted it in favour of LinkMan.

You are not getting any replies because
a) this is too much work for the author to be able to help you (I don't customize my free scripts for users)
and
b) other people who might have PHP knowledge probably don't need this (it is too specific for our needs)

Hello,

Thanks for the reply and I understand.

Can I just ask, would it be possible? if so I will get my head round it all and have a go myself.

Thanks again.

Almost anything is possible if you know PHP well
