thank you very much for programming and mastering this stuff.
There's a question I have not found the answer yet: Does phpGcount count each hit, or does it remember which peer it was -by ip-number or by cookie - and ignore the again-hits on my site resp. the page I count the hits to on my domain? Is there a switch I can choose if it should or not?

each peer once counted?
It counts every "hit", to make it count only once you would have to edit the code. Some instructions are posted here:
