Hi there, I don't actually know what is going on, but,
It also does the same with your settings.php file.

http://www.acacia651.org/guestbook/settings.php

So you might want to think about changing your password, etc etc when you do get it up and running.

Probably something to with your php installation though.

I'm sure Klemen will know.

looks like php is supported

Post by dritchie »

when I telnet to the server and do "which php, perl or python I get returns of;

usr/bin/php
usr/bin/perl
usr/bin/python

so I assum that thay are all supported

when I uploaded phpinfo.php to my site ( in guestbook folder) and do

acacia651.org/guestbook/phpinfo.php
and the browser returns a blank page

Now I'm more confused thenI was before :?

Either PHP is not supported or something is not configured right with your PHP installation. Check with your hosting company.

Hosting Co. NO HELP

Post by dritchie »

The Hosting company is no help.

I am hosted on a server that is "owned" by a friend, but
at a "server farm" in Calif..

The friend ( server "owner" ) doesn't understand what I'm talking about
and the "server farm" ( host2own) will not talk to me because I'm not the "OWNER"!

looks like I may have to try a perl guest book and see if
I can make IT work ????

I would really like to see this Guestbook script working,
so I would know what I'm missing

Since PHP is obviously not working correctly on your server you won't be able to run any PHP scripts unless you can have someone fix that.

Try with a Perl one, maybe they at least have Perl working correctly
