Add 'website' field

Post by Liam.C »

Script URL: www.inmotionmedia.co.uk/supportdesk/
Version of script: 0.93.1
Version of PHP: 4.4.0
Hosting company: Unknown - my friend lets me use his space
Have you searched THIS FORUM for your problem: Yes
(if not please do before posting)
If so, what terms did you try: 'Website'

Write your message below:
I want to add an field of 'Website' on my form which is then entered into the database (obviously) and shown on the ticket bit for the customers AND staff pages, right below the email input/output.

I managed to get this done almost myself, I added the 'POST' bit to get it into the database, added it to the language section and edited both the ticket pages. However - the 'Name' label started displaying the website aswell as on the newly created 'Website' part. I replace all the original files now though so all that is gone because it was wrong.

I know this is a rather large task but please help.

This is quite some work and unfortunately I can't help anyone who needs such customizations or I would be doing that 24 hours per day (I get many requests).

The good news is custom fields will be available in the next version of Hesk, probably sometime in May. You will be able to use custom fields to collect whatever info you need (for example website URL).
