Multiple Email Accounts Within One Hesk Instance⚡️

Hello,

Currently, Hesk is missing an extremely important feature - Support for Multiple Email Addresses - so instead of having to search in scattered topics (topic1, topic2, topic3) and try to put things together, can you please create a comprehensive guide here, on how to setup this, so that users won't have a hard time with it?

Here is the scenario:
- A parent company has multiple subcompanies, each with its own domain and email address.

• support@domain1.com

• help@domain2.com

• contact@domain3.com

- We want to use a single Hesk instance to handle all domains, so we create categories like:

• Company 1 - support@domain1.com

• Company 2 - help@domain2.com

• Company 3 - contact@domain3.com

- When a user uses the contact form on each of those websites or directly sends an email, the email gets received by a single Hesk instance in its respective category.

The guide should contain all nuances based on the setup options (PIPE, POP3, IMAP), and all the steps needed to support this (like CRON examples etc.)

I have made a mod that can solve that issue (using different emails, to different categories), check here: viewtopic.php?t=7456
SO, only 1 thing to add will be email fetching into each category using cron (you have provided link where it was described).

So, its not hard to implement that feature

However, your solution is rather complicated for the average user, with a lot of file mods that might not be compatible with future Hesk versions.
Also, this proves my point, with having a ton of rather incomplete information scattered in different topics.

We really need an official guide on how to set up this, something clear and easy (copy this, edit that, add this CRON ...), that even a beginner can follow.

There is no official guide because Hesk does not officially support this feature (yet?). I don't want to maintain an article about how to hack Hesk to work like this in the official docs.

However, I see a need for this, and the forum might be the best place to have such a guide until/if Hesk supports multiple email accounts out of the box.

Unfortunately, I don't have the time to write one at the moment. I might in the future. But if someone else is willing to do it, feel free to post here and I will sticky your topic to the top so it's easier to find.

I'm also very interested in this, as I have 2 domains that constantly receive support emails and I would like to manage them in one Hesk instance.
It would be a lifesaver for me.

It would be amazing if this could somehow be integrated in the core, as my tech experience is limited, but even a guide would work.
