Im using this counter to replace my old counte... and i want to keep my old count.. but when i try to put the count in the log file.. it just resets and starts over...

can this be done?

Hi,

It should be done by changing the value in the log file. Maku sure you leave NO SPACES or newlines in the log file and try chmod-ing the log FILE to 666 (rw-rw-rw).

i tried wat u mentioned here but it doesnt work. i tried changing the index.log file to 666 but it doesnt allow me to do so. hence i downloaded the file, change the figure n upload it back...it doesnt work as well and the counter jus did a restart. my website is www.project-e.com.sg. please email me at allan@project-e.com.sg ASAP. thank you sir!

Just edit the number in the log file, save changes and upload the log file again to the server. Make sure you download/upload the log file in ASCII mode (not binary).
