Disable staff members instead of deletion
Is there any chance to add ability to disable staff members? As far as I know if staff member is deleted all his tickets became unassigned. We would like to keep info about who was responsible for old tasks.
Re: Disable staff members instead of deletion
We do plan on adding options on what to do when a user is deleted. A full delete will still be available to comply with privacy laws, but I do agree that the way it is handled currently can be improved. I don't have any timeframes to give you though unfortunately.

Still good news. Thanks

Re: Disable staff members instead of deletion
Good evening, Klemen.
By the way, according to ideas. Could you add a ticket control button that department heads could use?
For example, there is an important ticket that requires the manager to always be informed about working with him.
The manager clicks the "Take control" link, and all changes and actions on this ticket, including notes to the ticket, as well as responses from customers and employees, are sent to him by email.
This function could also be useful for ordinary employees who, for example, are on vacation, but they need to know the movement of tickets that belong to their competence, but at the moment they are performed by another employee. Here it will already be required to assign additional rights to the employee of the opportunity to take the ticket under his control.
And in the general list of tickets, for example, a green check mark or some icon appeared that would show that this ticket is under control. And when you hover over it, it would be displayed who exactly has this ticket under control.
It would be very convenient.
Please consider this idea for Hesk improvements in the future.
With respect to you and your work, Denis

Re: Disable staff members instead of deletion
Hi Denis,
We will be adding a "collaborator" feature to Hesk (multiple staff working on a single ticket; one is "owner" and responsible, the rest are "collaborators" (not sure this is the best word choice, still not decided).
That would probably solve your issue? A manager could always be added to the ticket in such a way and be notified of what is happening.

Re: Disable staff members instead of deletion
Is there any update on this? It would be great to be able to keep the assigned user on the ticket once they are no longer working with the company as a helpdesk tech.
Re: Disable staff members instead of deletion
No update regarding this yet.
