404 error in 3.4.2 update

Post by samer »

Hi everybody
after updating hesk to 3.4.2, when I want to enter admin page this error appears:
404. That’s an error.

The requested URL /cookies.html?backurl=http://www.mysite.com/hesk/admin/index. ... in.php&i=3 was not found on this server. That’s all we know.

Please Help

What is cookies.html? It's not something used by Hesk.

You may want to:
- double-check your "Help desk URL" in Hesk Admin > Settings > General
- disable any redirect/security/SEO scripts you have on your website

Hi Thanks for your reply
when I log out of Hesk this links appears
https://mysite.com/hesk/admin/index.php ... 795f9e&i=1
then it redirect to

then to
https://mysite.com/hesk/admin/index.php ... 795f9e&i=3

The ?i=1 ?i=2 and ?i=3 is not something Hesk adds. I have no idea where this is coming from on your website?

Does the same thing happen if you try from another computer using another browser (maybe something fishy is going on on your computer)?

can I send you the URL in private to check it if you have time?
The same problem appears on different computers, I don't think the problem is from my computer

I had a look and there are two options:

1. either you use a CDN called "Ezoic" which adds code to your HTML output and creates the redirects,
2. or, your website has been hacked and someone added the redirects there.

For #1 check with your hosting company

For #2 upload ALL the original Hesk 3.4.2 files again EXCEPT hesk_settings.inc.php and see if that helps. If yes, you should change all your server passwords, scan it for viruses and do the same on your PC

Thanks a lot for your help
the problem was in option 1 as you said
I removed ezoic from my site and everything is good now
I think the way of integration was wrong
Thanks a lot, you are the best
