HESK multiple instances

Hi, we have a licensed version of HESK running on a Windows box, handling support requests for our Management Information Team. It works well.
Recently I was asked to provide a similar solution for the Freedom of Information Team, to let them register and track FOI (and similar) requests. The easy solution would be for me to just install another instance of HESK on the same machine, in a different directory and using a different back end database, and then configure the categories etc for that teams requirements.
I don't want to mess up our current install though. Is this as simple as I think or am I going to create a huge headache for myself?
