Hesk & MVC > Extensions/Plugins/Modules

Post by OSWorX »

Regaring the answer in this topic (mulilingual KB): viewtopic.php?f=14&t=6449

How are you plans, to switch to a MVC (Model View Controler) Layout/System?
Currently the code is 'bad' mixture like it was 20 years ago (sorry).

And is thereforee also bad für other developers to work for / create new extensions/plugins for Hesk.
Because when a extension/plugin (or like) as created, the code ahs to be hardcoded into the existing.

Having a MVC, it is much easier to develop/add new modules/extensions/plugins into hesk.

So, when you say (see other topic) you plan to add a mobile view, why not reworking the whole code (or start with the creation of Hesk 3.x) and use then an existing (and proven) system for the templates like Bootstrap (or any other)?

It's been planned for years, but never had the time to do a rewrite. Something is in the works, but can't really say more than this though.

Hello,

Just to say that I would love this feature !

Perhaps a kind of hook, much mure powerfull than the footer/header inclusion could do be a move on ?

:D
