What terms did you try when SEARCHING for a solution: knowledge base.

I have created a teat knowledge base article,
My knowledge base is staff only view-able,
Lets say I create an article called test and keywords test words such as test,
But when I search test nothing shows
I am new to knowledge base could you let know whats best to do

You won't see anything when there is just one article......
I don't have the documentation reference handy, but it does state that you have to have 'several' (again, not sure if that is the word..) articles before search will work.
So, if you want to search, make more articles! Then, after 'several' are there, the search will work just fine.

Correct, that's a MySQL fulltext search limitation.
Add a couple more articles (each with unique content) and search should start showing results.
