I'm trying to follow the instructions for installation and I can't tell if TextEdit on my Mac can save to "Convert to UTF-8 (option without BOM)" It indicates that it does "Convert to UTF-8" but no mention of (option without BOM). If TextEdit won't do the job, what will on a Mac?

Not sure for Mac; if you want you can save a file and upload it somewhere, I will check if it has BOM or not.

It is without BOM so the encoding is correct.
