no email notification

Post by fm5000 »

Hi,

I get no notifaction if a ticket is assigned to me.

My activated properties:
- A new ticket is submitted with owner: Assigned to me
- Client responds to a ticket with owner: Assigned to me
- A ticket is assigned to me
- Someone adds a note to a ticket assigned to me
- A private message is sent to me

Do you have any ideas what the error could be?

Best regards,
Frank

1. Are you creating the ticket and assigning it to yourself, or is another user creating the ticket and assigning it to you?
2. Are any emails working right now?

I've using hesk in German language and I've switched it to English (for testing purpose), but there will no email send.

If no emails are sending at all right now, make sure your email server settings are correct.

If you turn on debug mode, do any errors appear? If no, then emails are properly being sent by HESK / Mods for HESK.

I've activated the debug mode. Than I've created a ticket (as administrator) and assigned it to an user.

The message-log shows only:
Date User;Location;Message
07.02.2017 07:30:01;CRON;Calendar Reminders;Cron Job Finished Calendar Reminders. 0 reminder e-mails sent. 0 emails failed to send.
07.02.2017 07:30:01;CRON;Calendar Reminders;Cron Job Finished Overdue Tickets. 0 e-mails sent. 0 emails failed to send.

Is there another way to test the outgoing mail function? Incoming works fine.

Frank

The message log page only displays logs for calendar-related actions right now. If there were no errors returned on-screen in a red box, then HESK / Mods for HESK could not find any issues.

Since your helpdesk is running the calendar reminders cron job, try creating an event on your calendar for tomorrow, and have the reminder be set for 3 days before event. Run the job and see if an email is sent out. If any emails fail to send, a warning will be logged to the message log.

Sorry for my late response.

The log showed me:
...R=nonlocal: Mailing to remote domains not supported...
I've reconfigured exim4 and now it works :)
