Color shemas

Dear Mike,
I'd like to know something about the color schemas implementation.
I need to use my institutional color scheme (ie dark red and dark grey as main colors).
What I'd like to know is if I need to substitute one of the already present schemas by fooling/duping the system because the values allowed are only those you established or if I can add my new schema. I tried this second way but I can't see the new schema in the list of available colors and I don't know if this depends of some error I made of it is just impossible to add one more unless I modify some variable in some file.

Solved.
I modified the colors of the original "red" theme impementing a dark red scheme instead of pure red, and now I have what I need.

There are plans to provide more customization options to the backend theme (similar to how the front-end works), but there is no ETA as to when it will be done.
