What terms did you try when SEARCHING for a solution: After uninstall Gbook redirects my home page.
Write your message below:
Hello;
I botched my install of Gbook, failing to create a new folder before installing. Ack! So . . . of course, Gbook became my Home page, which of course
wasn't going to work out correctly. Unfortunately, I was forced to uninstall Gbook so I could reinstall it correctly. However, after uninstall, I was surprised to see http;//mccamydesign.com/ was still being redirected to http;//mccamydesign.com/Gbook.html/.
Looking for help in getting this cleared up and reinstalled.
Botched Install Leads to Redirects.
Re: Botched Install Leads to Redirects.
Sorry to hear that!
GBook from phpjunkyard.com doesn't create any redirects and doesn't come with a "Gbook.html" file or folder. You will need to verify with your hosting company (or if you used any third party installation tools to install GBook, check there) as to why the redirect is happening and how to remove it.
You will also need to restore the index.php file from your original website (backup?).
