[Install Issue] "Session Test: Started" hanging

Simply trying to install ccount to my domain. There are no errors posting, just hangs at the 3rd process in the 1st step "Session test: Started". The first page looks like below:

ccount_settings.php: OK

ccount_database.php: OK

Session test: Started...

Then the box for creating a password, and the button to "Continue to Step 2"

I assume that the first two are just simple checks for if the files exist.

I have tried creating different folders to install to, manually switching ASCII/Binary for assocated files, CHMOD to 777, 766, 666 on 3 different installation attempts, creating password on install page, manually putting in a password in settings.php (got lost, so gave that up).

I used to have a version working a few years ago, but lost that host, and that version of the script is very outdated now.

Any help would be appreciated. It seems that my issue might be the lack of location for session_test.php, but I neither know where to locate it, nor what to do once I did...

Just continue to the next step of installation script, the session test starts at the first step and finishes at the second step.

I have tried that, both adding a password then clicking continue and just simply clicking continue without entering a password. It just reloads that same page.

Hmm, it indeed sounds like a session-related problem then.

I am sorry that I didn't read that post entirely... I should have seen that link. I was sort of skimming it for important info. Again, I apologize.

Hmm, this all looks good.

To be able to troubleshoot this further I would need "hands-on" access to the files.

If you are willing to give me FTP access to your server (you can create a new FTP account with access just to the "ccount" folder) I will be happy to have a look.
