Malicious File Denying Guestbook Visibility

Post by NCA »

I would attach the exact error message if I could but I can't because of the above so unable to access my guestbook, version 1.7, but I do remember the word 'malicious' is used.

And so, without been able to access my guestbook, how do I delete the malicious file from my site?

Many antivirus programs started marking ANY php file with obfuscated code as a "potential threat", even if the encoded code is completely harmless (antivirus programs are not smart enough to decode and validate code).

Upgrading your guestbook to the latest version should fix that for you.

i suspected you'ld say that Klemen so i've since gone to another site i built using the same guestbook

access to that guestbook was successful and the guestbook hasn't been updated

returning to my site, with the guestbook updated, the same malicious file is detected therefore access is still disabled (http://www.rebelcr.com/gbook/gbook.php)

This error is not generated by the browser, but by your server.

Your hosting provider is running a virus scanner that is blocking suspicious files from the sever.

You will probably need to ask them to unblock it after update? I'm not the right one to ask.
