Report to Excel

Post by raulone »

Hello ¡¡¡

First at all i am new in this SW. Thanks in advance for your comprehension

I have the last version of Hesk but i have a problem with reports.
Concretly: when i want to make a report, Hesk export the reports in XML. No problem. i rename the file to .xls but the information not appears on the fields.

Somebody know what happens and how i can fix it??

HESK doesn't generate XLS files so you shouldn't be renaming them to .XLS

HESK generates files in Excel XML spreadsheet format. You can open the XML file directly in Excel (without renaming it) and it should show.

Thanks for you reply Kemmen¡¡

The problem is when i open this .xml file in Excel the fields appears empty. Row of titles field and ID columns appears but the information in each field not appears.

it is so rare, isn't it?

Example:

# ID de seguimiento Fecha Actualizar Nombre E-mail Categoria Prioridad Estado Tema Mensaje Propietario
3 13/05/14 15:42 13/05/14 15:45

Thanks in advance for your comments ¡¡¡

Can you tell me what version of Office you use and what your operating system is (Windows XP/7/8.1, Mac, ...)?

Can you also send a sample report to kstirn AT hesk DOT com?

I am able to open your report normally.

Looks like Excel on Mac doesn't support CDATA in XML files.

Try uploading this file to your "admin" folder and see if you can open new reports generated:
