YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!! That did it!
I pasted that trouble message in and it worked. Now just have to hope it will continue when I add multiple responses to people.

Thanks so much. We got there in the end.

All the best

Hi Guys,
I don't know what's going on but every time I try to sign my guestbook something new happens and locks me out. this time I get an error I never had before.

I go to sign and get this page:

Error
You cannot sign this guestbook at this time!

http://www.ravensbreath.com/Guestbook/gbook.php?a=sign

I don't know if you'll see it there.

I deleted banned ip, deleted the gbook and put a new one up. What can I do?

Thanks

Worked for me, looks like something you are trying to enter triggers the SPAM filter.

What is the exact name and message you are entering?

Hi, Well I'd hoped I cracked it by copying my message from a clean notepad doc - since I originally wrote it in Word, but that doesn't work either. So here it the silly message. Hopefully you can figure something. I deleted the banned-ip again.

Thanks.

Dearest Miss Hope and Miss Taylor,

We're very pleased you came to see us and said such nice things. Miss Hope, Percy was ever so pleased to have the names of those books. He has asked one of the goblin packrats to search for them when next near a bookseller in your world. He was very cross with the last rat who brought a book back, though. Only half the back cover and three end pages were left in it. I never saw Percy get so angry. Except for the time someone stepped on one of Boris's feelers and bent it. It’s still a little bent.
Percy shouted at the rat, "What has happened to the rest of my book?" The rat said his wife needed it to line her nest. She was expecting twenty-six younguns in the morning and needed the shreddings. When Percy heard that his book was shredded he said a word I shan't repeat, but the shock was so that he took to his bed for two days. Boris had to bring food up to him and drop it from the rafters into his open mouth. I was worried.

Dear Miss Taylor,

I am sorry Ratgirl wouldn’t come and chat with you. She said it’s not because she doesn’t want to chat with you but she knew I’d be here and she refuses to speak in French or Italian or gooblidygoo when I’m around. Well, I’m sorry about that Miss Snootytwoshoes, but I’m not staying away from my friends for you or anyone. I do despair of her silly tantrums.
Everyone asked me to deliver their greetings. You should see the shawl Boo tatted out of spider silk. It’s much nicer than cobweb. Not as warm but it’s very pretty and delicate. I wish she would tat one for me but she doesn’t even like to talk to me. What did I do?

I must go. Do come visit us again. We need you to so much.

Haunting you forever

Annabel and the ghost children

Hi Again,
I just typed in a post on the gb and that always works, so far. Can you test it by pasting in what I wrote previously and see if it just doesn't like accepting comments that are pasted? I wonder if that would be it. It might think that kind of this is spam.

If so, is there any way around that, because often, as you can see, I need to write quite a bit of copy and it's easier in Word or a notepad then paste.

Thanks
Klemen

I copy/pasted the text and was able to post it. Perhaps you can save the problematic text in a Word file, upload it somewhere so we can copy/paste from Word directly?

What is your $settings['junkmark_limit'] limit in GBook settings? Try if increasing it to 100 helps.

Alternatively, you can always disable the Junkmark filter by setting the $settings['junkmark_use'] variable to 0 and see if the captcha/anti-spam question do the job in your case.

Thanks for that. Ok, I got it to paste from Word - after setting junkmark to 0.
It had been set to limit 61.
I put that to 100, but a guess it won't matter now that I've set it to 0.

I also put the Word doc up for you to try but maybe it's not necessary. As long as this doesn't happen again.
Fingers crossed.

Thanks for your help.

Read my reply carefully again - the junkmark_use must be set to 0 to disable it, not junkmark_limit!
