NEW version of GBook: 1.7
Re: NEW version of GBook: 1.7
I did a lookup of your website IP and if your hosting company is "deziweb" then yes, this indeed goes for your hosting company and feel free to show them my responses.

Re: NEW version of GBook: 1.7
I have got an answer from my hosting company. They said that the antivirus and malware scripts/scanners that are on the server, keep seeing GBook as dangerous. They use ClamAV as a scanner. They don't look at the scripts themselves.
They also said that if you could update GBook in a way that ClamAV doesn't block GBook anymore, my problem will be solved.
They don't want to 'white listen' a script that their scanner blocks......
Remember, I'm not an expert, I'm just the mesenger now!

Re: NEW version of GBook: 1.7
It probablt is the encoded part of the script that handles the license and the spamfilter that triggers the anti virus program. I am not sure if Klemenc can change that.
I do not monitor the Gbook forums regularly anymore since I do not use the Gbook script myself anymore for a long time. But it helped me a lot in learning to understand php.
Re: NEW version of GBook: 1.7
They should give you that reason from the start then, not a lame excuse
Some anti-virus scanners indeed detect gbook as a "potential threat", because some part of files are encoded. Even though anyone with some basic PHP skills can decode that and confirm nothing dangerous is there, anti-virus scanners are not that smart unfortunately.
You can give this file I posted some time ago a try and see if it stays under the radar:

Re: NEW version of GBook: 1.7
I have waited a while to post an answer, because I really wanted to be sure....
After that last answer from my hostcompany, the guestbook no longer disappears! Someone must have made an adjustment after all!!! So I didn't have to use that file (yet), that you posted, Klemen. I hope it will not be necessary and that it's solved now
Thanks very much for your help!!!
