Hi - The guestbook is great.
I have this installed on a free site I am building for a youth football team, although when trying to post to the book it fails. After entering the message, it proceeds to the security code entry, and when clicking submit from here nothing happens and it does not post.

Any help appreciated.

I have read the similar problems, and have tried the test files - both returning a "true" result so I guess there are no problems server end..

Your entries.txt hasn't got correct permissions, CHMOD it to 666.

Hi Vinnie77,

I just posted a test message in your guestbook and the message was added without any problems.
You should remove the test message from your guestbook.

Edit:
It seems we posted at the same time. You were just a little faster than I.

I just tried posting again from another browser and from another computer. The both posted without any problems.
The only related problems i found in the forums were related to session problems, but you have already tested that and if there were problems i should not be able to post.
So it seems the problem is at your end. Are you running any special software on your computer that could cause problems or use something special in your browser?

Vinnie - try clearing your browser cache (temporary internet files) and cookies, see if that helps.

Could it be if I post - it will not allow me to post for a certain period of time?

Yes, if $settings['one_per_session'] is set to 1 it will only allow you to submit 1 topic per browser session. This is to prevent people flooding GBook (posting the same message over and over again) and I suggest you have it set to 1.

To submit again just close ALL your browser windows and open GBook again.

I knew it had to be something simple - you are totally correct and by closing the browser session I have posted succesfully.

Many thanks for your time.
