Removing NEW TICKET from homepage

Post by onlinesrc »

As I've started before, I really do not want customers creating their own tickets. My staff creates tickets on the behalf of customers.

I tried creating a department and marking it PRIVATE, hoping that when a customer wanted to create a ticket, the system would say they could not or did not have authorization to do so. Instead, it just allows them to create a ticket and my staff is getting overwhelmed with new tickets.

Is there a way to disable new tickets from the frontend. If not, can somebody tell me what files I need to edit, to remove this function?

Thanks.

I went through the entire index.php and found the table cell containing this and removed it.

Was hoping to find an on/off switch for new tickets, I guess? :D

Could be a good idea if a company is having an issue or something is wrong, and wants to temporarily disable frontend tickets.

I don't think a button for tickets on/off will be available in HESK. However, a "maintenance mode" that can be enabled during upgrades/errors/etc... will be.
